About Kendriya Vidyalaya Longding

K V Longding is said to have been established by special efforts of Local Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Mr. Thangwang Wangham, MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary (Power) and the then Deputy Commissioner, Longding District, Mr. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, DC Longding cum Chairman VMC KV Longding and state government providing 8 acres of land to KVS & a temporary building at Government Higher Secondary School Longding Campus for opening of Vidyalaya.
The brain child started taking shape by efforts of Mr. V K Solanki, Principal, KV Khonsa supported by Mr. Shreyas Bhargav, TGT PHE , KV Khonsa ( working as 1st I/C Principal from 23rd July 2017) in the leadership of Mr. Santosh Kumar Mall, IAS, Commissioner, KVS; MR. S K Chopdar, DC, KVS, RO, Tinsukia and Dr. N. Vasanth, AC, KVS, RO, Tinsukia.
