How to reach Longding Arunachal Pradesh India

Longding was created as a district by carving it out of one of the oldest district Total of Arunachal Pradesh in 2012. You may reach Guwahati through train or flight. Then you can catch a train to New Tinsukia/Tinsukia/ Dibrugarh. You may also reach Dibrugarh by flight from Kolkata(CCU) or New Delhi directly. You will then Sumo/ Scorpio/any other taxi to reach Longding from Tinsukia/ Dibrugarh. Tinsukia and Dibrugarh are mutually interconnected by road and a large number of vehicles ply between them. Dibrugarh Airport is situated almost in the midway between Tinsukia and Dibrugarh. If you come by air you may go to either Tinsukia or Dibrugarh. I personally prefer Tinsukia to Dibrugarh. The reasons may be availability of good hotels, market etc. At present it is taking almost 6 hours. However the situation is bound to improve drastically with a number of Highways coming up. So in near future Dibrugarh will be my preferred intermediate destination.
I exactly do not know but the distance between Tinsukia and Longding is about 150 km (or 143 km). With coming up of Kanubari Highway, a person will be able to reach Longding from Dibrugarh in less than 4 hours. There is another way to reach Longding Tinsukia via Khonsa. However it is longer route. At present sumos come from Tinsukia to Longding via Bimlapur Assam.
